At Imarisha Usawa, we lead community-rooted initiatives that confront inequality through holistic, locally-driven solutions. Our work spans health, education, leadership development, and economic empowerment, all anchored in the lived experiences of the communities we serve.
We believe that girls, women, youth, and communities are not just beneficiaries of change, they are the architects of their own transformation. By cultivating local leadership and building collaborative partnerships, we create pathways for sustainable, systemic impact that reflects the true needs and dreams of those most affected by inequality.
Imarisha Usawa Kenya (IUK), founded in 2024, is a transformative and committed non-governmental organization dedicated to uplifting vulnerable communities and shaping a future where everyone can lead healthy, safe, and productive lives. We focus on empowering girls, women, and youth—groups who stand at the forefront of societal change yet remain disproportionately affected by violence, poverty, and discrimination. Through community-driven initiatives, advocacy, and sustainable programs, IUK works to dismantle barriers, expand opportunities, and advance gender equality and social justice for all.
Our Mission is to Restore Hope and Dignity among Girls, Women, Youth and Communities affected by Poverty, Abuse, Violence, Disease, and other Adversities by Inspiring and Empowering their Mental, Physical, Economic and Social well-being.
We envision communities where Girls, Women and Youth are fully Empowered to Improve their Livelihoods, realize their Rights, and reach their Full Potential.
